The Stewardship / Financial Committee:
prepares the annual budget. This committee recommends special
offerings and reviews the church treasurer's books at least annually.
The committee seeks out physical projects or items to enhance or improve
the property of the church and solicits funds for these purposes through
the Expansion Fund. It will determine how special visible will be
recognized and recommend to the Session the acceptance or rejection of
such gifts. The committee will oversee and manage the rental of
all church properties. This committee will assure adequate
insurance coverage for both property and liability. (Elder

The Encouragement Committee: seeks to
encourage those doing the mission and the ministry of the church.
Much of their work has to do with hospitality such as meal preparation.
Among the responsibilities of this Committee are the preparation of food
for a Mission Program, Activity Day and Vacation Bible School [NOTE:
Presbyterian Women are responsible for the Easter Sunrise Service Meal
and the Thanksgiving meal.] Members also seek to recognize those
who are doing good work for the church and our Lord and plan ways of

The Commitment Committee:
seeks commitment among the members of the Bluff Presbyterian Church. l
It will be responsible for the promotion of local, nation and world
missions. the Committee is responsible for keeping the Church
Directory updated and sending out quarterly newsletters. the
committee mails bulletins and audio tpes to persons who are physically
unable to attend church. This committee may sponsor special
remembrances for shut-ins. The operation of the Church sound

The Old Bluff Committee: is
responsible for the care and maintenance of buildings, grounds and
cemetery located on this property. It manages the Old Bluff Trust
Fund and seeks additional funds for maintenance and upkeep. the
committee directs preparation for the annual homecoming. It is
responsible for reviewing periodically the Old Bluff Trust Treasurer's
books. The Committee may assist the treasurer in the investment of
funds. They supervise the duties of the caretaker of the Old Bluff

The Strengthening of the Church Committee:
has among its projects the 5th Sunday Church School Sessions and seeks
out church members to become involved in the work of the church.
The Committee makes recommendations to the Session for the appointment
of Sunday School Teachers and Youth Fellowship Leaders. The
Committee organizes May Day Activities and recommends the annual
Vacation Bible School Director. This committee is responsible for
church ushers and receiving the offering at worship services.

The Worship Committee: oversees the
preparation of the Lord's Supper and arranges the serving of communion
to shut-ins at least twice annually. The committee assists the
pastor in the preparation of special worship services and seeks out
participants when needed. The organization of the church choir is
a part of the committee's responsibility. In the absence of the
Pastor, the committee is responsible to seek that the pulpit is filled
for worship services. Preparing an annual Lay Schedule for Bible
reading at Sunday worship will be the responsibility of this committee.

Building and Grounds Committee: is responsible for the
maintenance and upkeep of the church building and grounds. the
committee recommends funds484-4234) to be budgeted for this purpose,
included in their recommendation will be funds for janitorial services /
supplies and yard maintenance. The Committee will be responsible

The Evangelism Committee: is the local
outreach of Bluff Presbyterian Church. It will be responsible for
planning a special revival / renewal service at least annually.
The committee will assist the pastor in the visitation of prospective
members and shut-ins and the planning of special welcome activities for
